The absolute essentials for a great, successful hike.

3 Must Haves:

  • Food/Water

Okay this one’s a no brainer. Please please please bring enough food and water for whatever you’re doing. Hydrating is the key to a successful hike, and nobody likes hiking on an empty stomach.

  • Boots/Sneakers

If you know you’re going to hike a decent amount, I’d highly recommend a good pair of hiking boots. It’s a completely different hiking experience when you can rely on the grip of your boots and confidently walk into puddles.

  • Sunscreen + Bug Spray

Gotta watch out for the sun! You’d be surprised, just because it looks cloudy outside doesn’t mean you won’t get burnt. And mosquitos are just the worst pests on the planet.
