Highpoint?
The hike: Jerimoth Hill (811 feet)
Location: Foster, RI
Approximate time: ~ 5 minutes
I wouldn’t blame you if you laughed when I say we “hiked” to the highest point in all of Rhode Island. Fun fact though - it’s still taller than Florida’s highest point so beat that! Jerimoth Hill can be found in lovely Foster, Rhode Island, so I can assure you that the drive there will be longer than the walk to the top. In truth, the hill is more like a rock less than five minutes off the road, so I’d only recommend going if you’re crossing another high point off the list.
There’s a small turnout across the road from where the trail starts, so be sure to watch for incoming traffic. After that, it’s an easy walk with about six feet of elevation gain the the “top” where you can sign your name in a book and enjoy the notes left by many hikers before you.
